Women's large size human hair wigs Women's large size human hair wigs are not quite as common as average size wigs – after all, most women have average size heads! But this most certainly does not mean that larger wigs do not exist. Of course, before you decide that you need a large wig or any particular size of wig, you are going to need to measure your head, first.

Take a cloth tailor’s tape measurer and measure the circumference of your head. It should go right along your hairline (up to ½ inch above the hairline) and just touch your ears. With that measurement, you can find out which size wig you need.

Keep in mind, though, that different manufacturers may size their wigs a little differently. For the most part, though, and an ultra petite size is from 19.5 inches to 20.5 inches. Petite is from 20.5 inches to 21.5 inches. Average is from 21/5 to 23.5 inches. And women's large size human hair wigs are for heads with 23/5 to 25 inch circumferences. A head that measures larger than this will likely have to have a custom made wig.
